Greenwood Post Office Introduces New Technology to Enhance Customer Experience
GREENWOOD, IN - As October 2025 begins, the Greenwood Post Office is implementing several technological upgrades to improve service efficiency and customer satisfaction. The facility, located at 1400 W. Main Street, has introduced new self-service kiosks that allow customers to weigh packages, print shipping labels, and track shipments without waiting in line.
Postmaster Sarah Johnson announced these changes during a brief ceremony held at the facility on October 1, 2025. "Our goal is to reduce wait times and provide more options for our customers," Johnson stated. "These kiosks complement our existing services and give customers more control over their shipping needs."
The Greenwood Post Office has also expanded its operating hours during the upcoming holiday season, beginning November 1. The facility will now be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays, with extended hours on Saturdays until 5:00 PM.
Local business owners have welcomed these improvements. "The new technology has made shipping our products much more efficient," said Michael Chen, owner of Greenwood-based e-commerce store Indiana Handmade Goods. "We can now process returns and shipments more quickly, which helps our bottom line."
The post office has also announced plans to host a "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive on October 15, where customers can donate non-perishable food items at the facility. All donations will be distributed to local Greenwood food banks.
For more information about services and hours, residents can visit the Greenwood Post Office website or call the facility directly at (317) 881-6800.
